Halloween Party!

This is your last reminder!  The 1^st Annual Matt & Dani Halloween Party is this Saturday October 28^th.  Party starts around 7pm and goes until everyone is done.  There will be Karaoke, Games, Snacks, and Scary Movies.  B.Y.O.B. and your costume… and be ready for a frighteningly good time!

that's right... This post is at 4:45am and I'm at work! Stupid f'n shit. I'm on a 4am to 4pm shift. Which, by the way, means its leaving the house at 3am. Grrrrr... Sucks major ass!

At least I'm back at good old Cheyenne rig #3... My original and favorite rig, and with extra people on the rig there should be something else I kinda remember, days off!

So... It's only 7am and I've been up long enough to get to work and already watch one movie... That sucks! At least I get off in 10 more hours (yippee).

I do have 4 new movies... The Island, House of Wax, Wolf Creek, and Sound of Thunder (which I just finished watching)... it's pretty cool: about a time traveling incident gone bad.

** warning .. . This turned into a bit of a ramble **

Do you ever feel like you could do outstanding things in your life... But wonder if you'll ever get the chance. I feel like there is nothing I can't do. No business I couldn't run, no skill I can't master... That is with the exception of making time to do great things in my life.

I don't mind my job so much... But if I end up doing this for too long I'll miss everything that happens in my life... And a lot of oppurtunities that could be. I want to do photography full time... Currently, that just ain't gonna happen: and who knows when it will be able too. I know, given the chance I could run an extremely successful photo and design studio... But how do I make it happen... I thought I was in the answer, my job, make lots of money to save, then quit and make it happen. Isn't it amazing how any extra money you make finds places to be spent?

I've got so many great business ideas and no venue to explore them... And when I share them I'm often scoffed and brushed over like I'm a child explaining a fun new game they've come up with. I need a way to explore my ideas.... Anyone have an idea?

I'm mostly content with my life... (Great wife, kids, home, family and friends) With the exception of knowing that I'm meant for bigger and better things than sitting at an oil rig. But I guess if I'm MEANT for better things then they will happen, huh! I just hope I'm not too old to make great things happen by the time I get my shot.

RAD

I'm not sure there has wver been a better movie than 'Rad'. Its your average late 80s BMX movie... But it's just too cool for school.

Speaking of rad... The rig is still stuck and not able to do any drilling so I'm gettin to sit and watch movies all day for the 3rd day.

Speaking of movies... Jackass Number 2: VERY STINKIN FUNNY. A few to many poop and puke bits for me.. But great none the less.

First day recap.

So forgetting all the airport mishaps this morning we did pretty well. So.. Total hours I've been awake now... Just over 36. Most money won in shoretest time... $100 at Cesars playing slots, for about 10 minutes. Funnest money won so far... $25 playing Blackjack & $28 playing roulette at the Monte Carlo over about 15 minutes.... Anywho...

Goodnight.. I'm exhausted!

Already winning

Well... We are checked in and we've had a meal ... i've been awake for 29 hours and I'm up $11.25 already! its gonna be a great trip.

Were gonna just hit the strip tonight, go clubbing tomorrow, and go downtown for some old school action on Monday. Everyone have a good weekend.... I know I will.

We have arrived

we and our luggage have made it to Vegas. We are on our way to the hotel! Viva Las Vegas, Baby.

Ah.... Airport happnins

so... We were supposed to be flying to Las Vegas via a stop in Minneapolis, if that isn't weird or anything. BUT our flight is delayed due to mechanical problems... So over to the ticket counter we go.

All this time David and Aubrey are trying to get on stand-by just to get to Vegas without waiting 5 hours at DFW.

So... Dani and I still have some luck... Instead of our original flights.. Including layover in Minneapolis (on, by the way, neither flight were we sitting together) we wouldn't have gotten to Vegas till after 1pm. well, thanks to the delay and re-ticketing!!! We are on a direct Delta flight leaving at 8:20, arriving in Vegas at 11:20am... Woohoo... Good times. Next time I blog to ya i'll be in Vegas, baby.

Alright... At the airport checked in... With 2 hours to sit! Woohoo... Could be worse: David and Au rey's 7:15am flight was cancelled now they are on a 10:23 flight... So the get to spend some quality time at terminal D.

Almost Vegas

This is the birth of my mobile blog. Mostly cause its 3am and I have an hour left of work before I'm off.... Home then to vegas I go. I'm stinkin' excited. Vegas is MY town, baby. It's gonna be good damn times! anywho... I gotta find a way to post photos from my cell then we'll be rockin'!
